Open to all breeds / mixed breeds.
Dogs must be healthy and at least 1 year of age. Dogs must know how to swim.
Exclusions: Dogs recovering from injury (unless you have a veterinary release), females in heat/pregnant, or aggressive dogs.
A life jacket is recommended and available if needed.
Dogs & handlers will enter the pool using the ramp.
It also recommended to not feed your dog before class as it is a high intensity sport.
Classes are structured up to 6 dogs per hour to allow each dog to have appropriate rest periods between turns. Classes with 1-3 dogs enrolled will be 30 minutes. Although Hydro Agility is easier on the joints, it is also physically demanding. When your dog is swimming, they work 15-20x harder than on land. One minute of intense swimming = four minutes of hard running. Dogs can still overheat in the water when outside temperatures are hot.
It is recommended to bring a toy that your dog likes. Avoid a high value toy as it may be too distracting for the dog. Towel for you and your dog.
This is a beginner level course. You and your dog will learn the obstacles and rules of the game. I will teach you the handling skills to set your dog up for success.
No experience is necessary.
It is recommended that you complete the course with your dog. If you are uncomfortable or have restrictions, I can work your dog for you.
Yes! In 2027 I will be hosting Hydro Agility Events. I will also have a league for those that want to practice at a competition level. Of course, you can still do it just for fun.

Please wear clean shoes with a rubber sole. There are several water shoes available.
